Introduction

Conveniently located in Utica's Downtown Historic district, Rosemont Inn is just a few blocks from the Stanley Theater and Munson-Williams Proctor Institute. Italianate Victorian architecture and 7 beautifully decorated guestrooms, all with private baths, make Rosemont Inn comfortable and inviting for leisure or business travelers alike. A sumptuous breakfast awaits you each morning in our elegant dining room, featuring a fireplace and four large dining tables. Rosemont Inn offers a warm welcome and secure environment in which to retreat after a long day's journey or attending to business.

Construction on this beautiful brick Italian Victorian home began in 1866-67 by Ambrose G. Howard. After the house was completed, he planted many unusual plants, shrubs and trees on the property. On July 22, 2004 we, Rita and Bob Sleys, purchased the Inn from the Michaels and continue to operate it as a 7 room bed and breakfast.

The Double Parlor The Double Parlor has two large sitting areas, 13 foot ceilings and a working fireplace. Breakfast is served in the dining room each morning at approximately 8:30a.m. The dining room has four large tables, two of the inn's finest antique pieces, and a working fireplace. The Library has many books with which to pass the time and a TV. The main hall has a working fireplace, refrigerator with cold drinks, hot drinks and snacks for your enjoyment.

A Rosemont Inn breakfast is a wonderful start to any day. A seasonal fruit creation, such as Swirl Peach Parfait or Banana Crunch will be served at your table. An entree of Blueberry Belgian Waffles, Sour Cream and Chive Omelets, Strawberry French Toast or Canadian Eggs follows, accompanied by savory low-fat chicken sausages and/or crispy bacon. One or more baked goods are also offered, such as White Wheat Toast, our signature muffins (made from freshly ground flour), Crumb Cakes or Cream Biscuits along with sweet butter and Inn-made jams. Coffee, tea and juice are served each day.
