Travel information about Newark, New York

Newark is located in Wayne County in northwestern New York state. Spend a weekend at a Newark bed and breakfast to enjoy the local events and activities. Newarkfest is a local annual family event held during the second weekend in June at Central Park. It features music, crafts, food, and fireworks. Another local highlight is the annual Rose Parade held in July. It is a beautiful parade that is great for people of all ages. You might want to see the Canal. The NYS Erie Canal runs through the city and from Albany to Buffalo. Newark also has a few historic places to see. The Newark-Arcadia Historical Society features exhibits and antiques. Dining options include several local restaurants offering cuisine for every taste. Mexican food fans will not be disappointed with El Pacifico Mexican Restaurant, they have great food at reasonable prices. While the Pizzano's Italian Restaurant in Newark would be a local favorite for a romantic evening out and excellent italian cuisine. Overall, Newark is a nice place to visit and you might want to stay for a night or two at a Newark inn or B&B.
