Introduction

Part of the East Hill Historic District, the William Henry Miller Inn was built as a private home in 1880 by Cornell University's first student of architecture, William Henry Miller. It is rich in architectural detail with stained glass windows, American chestnut woodwork, working fireplaces, nine spacious bedrooms, and large common areas. The Carriage House, located directly behind the inn, provides additional accommodations in a setting that is both private and luxurious.

Located just off the Ithaca Commons-which is abundant with shops, theatres, and restaurants-the inn is on the city bus line and within two miles of Cornell University and Ithaca College. Tompkins County airport is a ten-minute drive.

A Delicious Breakfast Allow us to indulge you with a sumptuous breakfast by candlelight in the dining room. Our breakfast includes juice, a fruit course, choice of two entrees, a breakfast meat and a tray of homemade breads. Early risers enjoy a head start on the day with fresh-brewed coffee and newspapers, on the Main Floor.

Each evening our guests will find homemade desserts on the sideboard in the Dining Room where coffee and tea are always available as well. Served all evening, you may want to indulge after a local theatre performance or dinner at one of Ithaca's many fine restaurants. We invite you to make yourself at home. The coffee pot is always on.

The Inn is a wonderful spot for small meetings and retreats. Simply call us to discuss rates and availability.
