Some of the activities that can be enjoyed are touring the wine region, wine tasting, water skiing, tubing, boating, fishing, biking, hiking, swimming, relaxing, sunbathing, reading, or just enjoying the beauty of the quite surroundings.

Travel information about Lyons, New York

The town of Lyons is situated midway between Rochester and Syracuse, New York and has several awesome B&Bs. Make a Lyons bed and breakfast your home away from home in this cozy town. Lyons is famous for the Village Square park with a history dating back to 1794, and also home to many community events, including Peppermint Days festivities, summer band concerts, and a Farmers' Market, held each Saturday from June through October. From the park, many other historic buildings are visible, such as the Post Office, the Lyons Community Center, the B.P.O.E lodge, the Lyons National Bank, and the First Lutheran Church, and each year the Lutheran Church Women hold a Quilt Show and Sale. As the Wayne County seat, Lyons is home to the historic Wayne County Courthouse, which has been in use since 1854. Also a short walk away is the Wayne County Museum, a former Sheriff's residence and jail, is served as such for over 100 years. Since 1999, Double J's Pizzeria has been a town favorite, using only the highest quality and freshest ingredients.
