Introduction

Welcome to The Looking Glass Bed & Breakfast, a late 19th century "Mirror Victorian" listed on the National Register of Historic Places. The Inn is comprised of two identical houses adjacent to one another; one house is the Inn, the other serves as the family residence. This unusual architectural style offers a uniquely private lodging experience, with guests feeling as if they are in their own "home". Our Rhinebeck Village location, two blocks from the center of town, is ideal for guests to walk to shops and first-rate restaurants while taking in the history of our lovely neighborhoods. The Dutchess County Fairgrounds is also a two block walk from the Inn, where numerous seasonal events take place. The Hudson Valley, rich in historic sites and mansions along the river, is a wonderful, year-round destination and we can help you plan a quick getaway or an extended stay any time of year.

Dining Room Accomodations include four air-conditioned guest rooms featuring queen and twin size beds with private baths. Period wallpapers, antiques and fresh flowers are some of the delights our cozy rooms provide. Enjoy the Butler's Pantry, where you can find an assortment of hot and cold beverages, cereals, homebaked breads and muffins and fresh fruit; a convenient alternative to our full, sit-down breakfast served on the weekends.
