Introduction
Welcome to Inn The Woods Bed & Breakfast, a spacious contemporary in a peaceful wooded setting. The Inn is located central to Culinary Institute of America, Franklin D. Roosevelt Home & Library, Eleanor Roosevelt's Valkill, Vanderbilt Mansion, and the Hudson Valley Great Estates Region.
Come explore the beautiful Hudson Valley.
Sitting on the balcony amongst the treetops, you hear a creek rushing over rocks, birds chirping, and squirrels running through the leaves. Breathing deeply you smell the smoke of hardwood burning in the fireplace. The smoke rises through the treetops, and you follow it into the darkening evening sky. The moon and stars are brighter than you can remember. You take another deep breath and realize you've forgotten the rigors of the day.
Inn The Woods offers three guest rooms and one large suite. In the morning, rise to the rich aroma of fresh brewed Inn The Woods special blend coffee. Then making your way to our sunlit dining room, you find your full breakfast elegantly served. We incorporate a sampling of the area's fine homegrown produce and specialty foods in each of our gourmet breakfasts.
Inn The Woods is a place to relax. In our Music Room you can find a piano to play. In cold months warm yourself by the fireplace and watch snowfall through floor to ceiling windows. Rock your cares away on the deck, or swing in the hammock under the trees. For ultimate relaxation just slip into the Outdoor Spa. Your hosts, Harrison and Valarie Losey, are in residence and have lived in the Hudson Valley for over 40 years. Also in residence at Inn The Woods are their daughter Rebecca, a dog Diablo, and cats Rockette and Carnival.
Inn The Woods is one mile from the center of Hyde Park in historic Dutchess County, snuggled in the heart of the beautiful Hudson Valley. Rhinebeck, well known as a center for antiques, arts, crafts and fine dining, is only a 15-minute drive. There are two antique centers within five minutes, and hiking, biking, roller-skating, golfing, drive-in movies, and cross-country skiing can all be found nearby.
In autumn the Hudson Valley comes alive with vivid fall foliage where nature explodes with natural colors that have to be seen to be believed. Whether you choose Inn The Woods as a convenient hub to enjoy all the Hudson Valley has to offer year-round or a destination unto itself, restfulness and warm hospitality await you!
