INn by the Mill, a historic 1835 Stone Grist Mill Complex is listed on the Federal and NY State Register of Historic Places. Located alongside Timmerman Creek in a tranquil park-like setting, it features cascading waterfalls, extensive herb, flower & water gardens with over 20,000 flower bulbs and 3,000 annuals and perennials.

The Grist Mill was once part of the Underground Railroad. The site includes the 1894 Mill Guest House with four romantic guest rooms and the 1888 seasonal Hog'n Haus Cottage overlooking a private gorge with cascading waterfalls. Built during the Blizzard of 1888 as a Hog House, it has been restored with all the original details intact. Its lush decorations might remind one of Hog Heaven. Very romantic and private with the soothing rush and bubbling of cascading waterfalls, within a few feet of the door. Enjoy an outdoor hot tub spa overlooking the natural gorge and waterfalls.

The CliffSide Guest Cottage also overlooks the waterfalls and natural gorge. CliffSide Cottage sits on a cliff with a walkway leading down to the cascading Old Mill Stream and a great view of the Grist Mill shimmering below the Gorge. It features two bedrooms, living room, game room, waterside sitting room with fireplace, bath with tub/shower, washer and dryer, TV, CD player and a modern, fully stocked kitchen. Relax in your private, outdoor hot tub spa overlooking the natural gorge and waterfalls.

Views from the Cottages show the deer feeding in the forest across the waterfall gorge. Guests enjoy the deluxe continental breakfast plus home-made breads and pastries in our fully stocked kitchens. During our peak season, guests may browse in the museum-like Emporium-Ice Cream Billiard Parlor where you can create your own Complimentary Ice Cream delights, shoot a game of pool, enjoy gourmet desserts or listen to historical storytelling. There are many strolling paths that meander along the Old Mill Stream. Relax in a stream-side hammock, covered swing or meditate in the Zen Garden. Gift certificates are available.
