| Dekoven Suites, located 30 minutes by subway to downtown Manhattan, on a cozy street in the West Midwood area, is one of the best-kept secrets in Brooklyn. Built in the early 1900's, the house is a three-story Victorian located on a cul-de-sac which offers privacy as well as plenty of parking. Relax in your bright, spacious suite with a private entrance, bedroom, and sitting area. The bedroom has a Queen size bed, antique vanity, and walk-in closet. Guests are also offered the amenities of a pull-out queen-size couch in the sitting area for children, a private bath, television, telephone and washer/dryer. Special accents make the inn feel like home itself, such as stained glass, large blocked glass windows, and tasteful decor. |

Breakfast, set out at 7:30 a.m., includes fruit, rolls, cereal, cheese, jams, fresh coffee, and an assortment of teas. Weather permitting, you can enjoy breakfast in the garden, which Susan maintains herself. Special dietary arrangements can be accommodated with prior notice. |

Small Weddings and Receptions Dekoven Suites is the perfect place for small weddings and receptions up to 50 people. The first floor and suite off the kitchen include two bathrooms, and there is seating for fifty guests with a large kitchen for use by caterers. |

Susan and Chalo, your hosts, have been living in their Brooklyn home for the past 14 years and have two children: Our son is a junior in college and our daughter is in Med school. Your hosts welcome your visit and are ready to help you with your questions and sightseeing plans. Open All Year and Reservations are recommended in advance.. |

Home to Coney Island amusement park and boardwalk, NY Aquarium, Prospect Park, Brighton Beach, and the Coney Island baseball team, your activities range from strolling down the beach, to surveying the city, to just relaxing in the garden of Dekoven Suites. The subway, only three blocks away, takes you to Manhattan's unmatched energy in just 20 minutes. Or stay close by and take a 10-minute walk to Prospect Park (summer drumming circles in Prospect Park, weather permitting), the Brooklyn Museum, and the Brooklyn Botanical Gardens. |
