It's easy to be happy here, surrounded by 25,000 acres of unparalleled beauty in the Catskill Hudson Valley area of Gardiner/New Paltz, New York. We are close to Mohonk, Minnewaska, The Gunks, beautiful lakes, the 60-mile Wine Trail, SUNY, historic Kingston and the art colony of Woodstock . Our charming B&B with a very fresh look, comfortable furnishing and period antiques, is secluded and surrounded by meadows, fields and a 200-acre thoroughbred horse farm.

For those interested in feeding their bodies and souls, this former restaurant owner with 25 years in the hospitality industry, gives you the pleasure of choosing from the daily gourmet breakfast menu which is carefully orchestrated to meet every appetite. Specialty diets, vegetarian and organic are offered. Country Meadows Bed and Breakfast is a member of the Organic Farm Co-op. The art of perfection describes our breakfast which is served throughout the morning at individual tables in our candlelit sunroom, or on the picturesque pool deck where views abound. In summer, swim or exercise in the Olympic size inground pool or sunbathe on our deck, hike and bike the famous 16 mile rambling rural Wallkill Rail Trail on our property, or enjoy a shady cool breeze while you take a laid back rest on the tree hammock and just watch the clouds go by.

The setting of Country Meadows is rural, yet convenient. While staying at the B&B, in the area you will be able to find great restaurants, (many run by culinary graduates) antique shops, SUNY New Paltz, museums, historic sites, colleges; Bard, CIA, Marist, Vassar (25 minutes) and West Point. Within an easy scenic driving distance are several golf courses, canoeing, hiking, fishing, tubing, skydiving (one mile) horseback riding (a few miles from our B&B) mountain climbing, great cycling and skiing.
