This graceful 1892 Victorian Catskill Mountain B&B is a four-diamond award-winning inn with original stained glass windows and handcrafted woodwork. Located in the Northern Catskill Mountains, the inn is only 2 1/2 hours north of New York City and 1-hour south of Albany, New York. Come experience the charming accommodations of a boutique hotel in a small-town setting. Albergo Allegria features 21 guestrooms - 12 rooms and 4 suites in the main house, and 5 suites in the carriage house. Breakfast is served in the large, sunny dining room, where you can also relax and enjoy refreshments at all hours of the day. Mornings at Albergo Allegria are filled with the delicious aromas of fresh ground coffee, baked goods, and sautéed omelets. The antique marble sideboard presents mounds of fresh fruit, steaming hot muffins, our signature granola, and toasting breads. An extended selection of loose leaf and bagged teas will impress any tea drinker. Several hot entrées then emerge from the kitchen - ready to satisfy even the heartiest of appetites. The Chef's imaginative repertoire includes buttermilk pancakes with blueberries, stuffed French toast, Belgium waffles, crepes, and local apples laced with cinnamon or bananas and finely chopped pecans. We also offer the option of two eggs cooked any style, or a gourmet omelet sautéed with fresh vegetables and herbs. Side dishes may include bacon, Canadian bacon, sausage, or perhaps grilled ham with a light apricot sauce.
