Las Vegas is located in Clark County Nevada and is the most populous city in the state. Annually in January, thousands gather for the Las Vegas Marathon beginning in Sloan and ending in downtown Las Vegas. The event is surrounded by parties and banquets the day before and after the event. March is a great time to stay at a Las Vegas bed and breakfast in order to visit the Monster Jam World Finals. Thousands come to watch the event at the Sam Boyd Stadium. Not only is Las Vegas entertaining, but it is also the gambling capital of the United States. You can gamble at many famous casinos including the Golden Nugget, the Hard Rock Hotel & Casino, the Palms, the Sahara, the MGM Grand, and the Wynn Las Vegas. Check out the Stratosphere Rides for a memorable experience or you can just visit the tower for an amazing view of the Las Vegas area. If you are hungry, head to Wolfgang Puck's Trattoria del Lupo, located at the Mandalay Bay. They offer an amazing selection of Italian foods. Priced around $35 a plate, reservations are suggested. Postrio, located at the Venetian, offers a selection of Chops, Italian, Pizza, Seafood, and American foods. Prices range from $20-$35 a plate and reservations aren't necessary. To get away from the buzz of the hotels and casinos stay at an out of the way Las Vegas inn or B&B and experience a whole new Las Vegas.
