"How many synonyms can I think of for 'perfect?' Muchisimas Gracias!" - Andrew & Petra, Moab, UT
The San Geronimo, built in 1925 as the first resort hotel in Taos, is in the style of a grand old lodge, with traditional thick adobe walls, vast common rooms, high viga ceilings, rambling verandas and winding portals. With over two acres of natural serenity, the property boasts apricot trees on the banks of the Acequia Madre and an unfettered view of Taos Mountain. Each room has a private bath with hair dryer, telephone with free local calls, wi-fi, clock radio and color cable television. All rooms have DVD's and you can select free movies from our collection. Each morning a different hot entrée enhances the basic buffet of fresh fruit, coffee, tea, chai, juices, cereals, and breads for toast. With advance notice, special dietary requirements can be met.
The Lodge's amenities include an open air hot tub (always open) and New Mexico's only chili-pepper shaped swimming pool (open from June through September), a garden setting for wedding or outdoor events, meeting space for groups of 10 to 100, and a library.
For workshop, business groups or retreats, the Lodge has several breakout rooms and a large screen LCD projector. The comfortable, art-filled spaces are conducive to hard work infused with creativity. Just two miles from the town of Taos for easy access to the many fine restaurants, galleries, museums and shops, yet out in the peaceful, relaxing, serene countryside, the San Geronimo Lodge offers the best of both worlds.
A variety of meeting spaces makes the San Geronomo Lodge suitable for events of all sizes and types. The living room is great for informal groups of about 20. Knitting, writing and laughter workshops meet here. The outdoor studio by the pool is great for painting, yoga, seminars, creative workshops and small parties.
The San Geronimo has been a venue for delightful Taos weddings for over 80 years. The unique wedding pavilion features three massive criss-crossing beams. Outdoor weddings can have up to 300 people, with a large tent erected on the lawn. More intimate weddings can be held in the dining hall or the poolside studio, which can also serve as a chapel.

What do the words Bed and Breakfast mean at San Geronimo Lodge?
Bed means that we are committed to the highest quality beds - new "Denver" Eurotop Mattresses, new high thread-count linens and attractive new bed-skirts, spreads and shams. Breakfast means fresh roasted top quality coffee and a yummy assortment of entrées, fruits and extras.
Guests rave about our breakfasts. Our breakfasts always include a variety of fresh cut fruits, and you are welcome to all you want. For main items, one day you may have green chile strata, poppy-seed muffins, and potatoes O'Brien. The next day you might have blue-corn blueberry pancakes (scrumptious), baked egg, and top-quality pepper bacon. Another day you might have spinach frittata with apricot scones and sausage. And another day it might be breakfast burritos with home-made salsa and morning glory muffins. These full, hot breakfasts are served from 8 to 9 a.m. Charles often plays the piano during breakfast, always sweet, sometimes upbeat.
Coffee is available by 7 a.m. We use the finest coffee (Peets and/or Taos Roasters) and we brew it strong. A variety of teas are available: classic black English Breakfast Tea and Earl Gray to Celestial Seasonings herbal and green teas. You can toast white, whole wheat or raisin bread or English muffins with a selection of jams and butter. Yogurt on ice is always set out, as well as a variety of dry breakfast cereals, whole milk, 2 percent milk and half-and-half. Ice is set out with three juices, orange, apple and cranberry. These "Continental Breakfast" items are available buffet-style at least half an hour before the full breakfast, which is served to your order at your table from 8 to 9 a.m. San Geronimo will gladly accommodate special diets, so long as we are given advance notice.
