Farmington is a city of about 43,000 people located in the northwest corner of New Mexico. It is about 3 1/2 hours away from Albuquerque with its own variety of local inns. Farmington hosts the Connie Mack World Series of Baseball each year. For 43 years, this city has welcomed players from16 years of age to 18, from across the United States as well as Puerto Rico. San Juan College, a 2-year public university, organizes numerous events throughout the year including Comedy Festivals with various themes and the Four Corners Jazz Festival in early spring, which usually features well-known talent. Four Corners Monument is about 100 miles away from Farmington, in Shiprock, New Mexico, and marks the only point in the United States where the borders of four states meet. It is possible to be in four states at once. The Anasazi Heritage Center, located about two hours northwest of Farmington, is a museum dedicated to the rich history of the Four Corners region and is the starting point for visits to Canyons of the Ancients National Monument. 3 Rivers Eatery and Brewhouse is a restaurant/brewery known for good food and locally-made beer, only a short distance from some of the best Farmington B&Bs.
