The Hunings's Highland Addition is Albuquerque's first subdivision. It was platted in December 1880, eight months after the arrival of the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railroad. This historic subdivision provided building lots for the merchants, professionals, clerks, teachers and railroad employees who swarmed into Albuquerque during its first population boom.

The refurbished Heritage House features architectural elements of the early 19th century. The beautiful tapestries, antique stained glass, and elegant antiques highlight the Victorian features throughout the house. The spacious suites and quaint, but elegant, rooms in the house retain the historical ambiance and feel of the original house built over 100 years ago. In the house, you can choose from two suites; one even features its own private balcony. The other two rooms have family antiques throughout as well as special features, like an uncovered old chimney or large bath with a skylight giving lots of warm natural light. Each room offers original hardwood floors, free high-speed wireless Internet service, telephone, hair dryers, bathrobes, irons, and ironing boards. You also are given an assortment of afternoon snacks, evening coffee, assortment of hot teas, and a guest refrigerator in the kitchen is always fully stocked with a variety of cold drinks for your enjoyment. In spite of the many modern amenities in the Heritage House, you truly will feel as though you have taken a trip to time past.

The Spy House is a 1912 Arts and Crafts bungalow that offers all the amenities of a modern hotel with a blend of old-world elegance and full corporate services. This beautiful historic home at one time accommodated five apartments and was returned to the beautiful home it was originally meant to be by the Grant family. Each beautifully restored room is unique in design and appearance. Three of the rooms feature king-size beds, and one room has a queen bed and its own sitting room. All of the rooms feature their own thermostats with central heat and air, private baths, telephones, wireless Internet access, hair dryers, irons and ironing boards, and cable televisions. You also are treated with the gracious attention of your hosts each day who provide a variety of snacks in the evening, hot coffee or hot teas. A guest refrigerator in the kitchen is always stocked with a variety of cold drinks, and of course, you are served a full gourmet breakfast each morning.

The Carriage House combines the luxury accommodations of an inn with the privacy of a vacation rental. Perfect for an extended stay or a romantic New Mexico honeymoon, this Charming historic cast stone home is nestled in the back of the Spy House and the Heritage House. There is one bedroom with a king-size bed. Next to the bedroom is a large living area that has a daybed, which can be pulled out to an additional king-size bed or two twin beds. Also in the living area is a desk if you need a place to set up an office away from home, or it makes a perfect game table. Just like all of our other rooms, we also offer you cable TV and free high-speed wireless Internet.

The kitchen has a stove and oven with microwave, coffee maker, refrigerator, and some of the necessary dishes if you would like to prepare any of your own food during your stay. In one corner of the kitchen is a small table for an intimate meal for two. We also stock the house with the same little treats you would get if you stayed in any of our rooms, a stocked refrigerator with a variety of drinks, warm cookies, crackers and cheese, and a bowl of fresh fruit. And of course, you get to enjoy a warm gourmet breakfast every morning in the main house. The private fenced backyard wraps around the house and has a bench and small table should you want to sit outside for dinner or just to relax. But of course you can also enjoy the beauty and tranquility of the main grounds.
