Introduction

Adobe Nido Bed and Breakfast is located in Albuquerque's North Valley close to Old Town and Downtown. Nido is Spanish for “nest or abode.” An adobe is a sun-dried mud brick, which is what our home is made of, hence the name, Adobe Nido. Our original nido, built in 1985, and our new nidos are all created in the old style of the southwest; adobe construction with kiva fireplaces, exposed bricks and beams, banco seats, and flagstone walkways.

The main house at Adobe Nido Bed and Breakfast is the hub of activity, with the pool/billiards room, the dining hall and the kitchen. The 2-story guesthouse is next door and houses two beautiful guest rooms, a family suite, and a covered outdoor patio. Our grounds include raised bed vegetable and herb gardens, Finnish sauna, southwest xeriscaping, an aviary, and outdoor banco sitting areas. Smoking is not permitted indoors.

We love our beautiful outdoor sauna, (correct pronunciation - “sow” - like how -“nah”). It is a traditional dry heat Finnish theraputic sauna, but extra humidity and aromatherapy may be added. Deep relaxation sooths your aches and de-toxifies your body. Follow up with a cool shower in your room and a jacuzzi if you are staying in The Wood Duck, Burrowing Owl's Nest or Suite.
