| Introduction |

On the grassy knoll, located along the northeastern banks of the Great Egg Harbor River in Mays Landing, the private residence of William Moore was built, circa 1846. One of Mays Landings most prominent residents, Mr. Moore was not only a State Senator, but also a prosperous entrepreneur. He built and managed a fleet of sailing vessels which were engaged in commerce along the entire Eastern seaboard. In 1986 the mansion was restored by the Boylan family and opened to the public in 1987 as The Inn at Sugar Hill, a restaurant and Bed & Breakfast. |

Three working fireplaces grace the Inn's intimate dining rooms. The enclosed verandas afford panoramic river and garden views. The Sugar Hill Inn Chefs have created menus that mix the traditional with a contemporary flair. The extensive menus include such favorites as Chicken Christina ($17*) and Jumbo Lump Crab Cakes ($21*). |
From May to September the Inn features a casual bar and grill down along the waters edge. This tented bricked area features live entertainment, great summertime cocktails and the freshest grilled and steamed seafood on the waterfront! |

Spend a restful night in one of our antique-filled, air-conditioned guest rooms, all with private baths, many with working fireplaces and river views. In the morning enjoy a creative continental breakfast served on one of the Inn's two riverside verandas or garden cafe. During the day enjoy a quiet walk along the waterfront and adjoining brick of Gaskills Park. The quiet Main Street Shops are within sight of the Inn and Gravelly Run General Store and Antiques Center is two miles down the road. Ocean City beaches, Atlantic City shows, wineries and a regional shopping mall are all within a 15 minute drive. The Innkeeper's Rendezvous, which includes a full-course candlelight dinner for two on the night of arrival plus one of our rooms for the night makes a great getaway or gift idea. Before retiring to your room for the evening, enjoy a visit to our authentic Victorian Bar that once stood in a turn of the century Philadelphia Tavern. Now, restored to its original grandeur, it has become the focal point of our waterside bar. |
