Tuckerton borders the New Jersey Pine Barrens which is noted for hiking, biking, kayaking, canoeing, and birding opportunities as well as ecotour adventures. guest room J.D. Thompson Inn Bed & Breakfast has recently been renovated to include all modern amenities while maintaining the integrity of beautiful original architectural features such as mahogany three-story staircases, ten-foot ceilings, and ornate plaster moldings. Our guests may choose from six large rooms, each with a queen size bed, private bath and air conditioning. The rooms have been artfully decorated with an eclectic mix of magnificent antiques, reproductions, object d'art, and family heirlooms. A separate two-room suite with living room, bedroom, and bath is also available.

Gourmet breakfasts and freshly baked homemade breads are served in the dining room. A spacious deck wraps around the Inn where one may have morning coffee or afternoon tea, and our guests are also invited to enjoy afternoon refreshments in our beautiful gazebo which is accessible from the deck, or relax in the outdoor spa.
