The way to get a feel for the Jersey Shore of yesteryear is to live it, feel it and embrace it in every way. ...That is why guests come to Cashelmara Inn By-The-Sea... Originally built as a summer estate nearly a century ago by William G. Wilcox, a prominent United States statesman, the grand house was almost completely surrounded by water with the Atlantic Ocean on one front and a tranquil seaside lagoon on the other. From the broad verandah of this stately home, Wilcox could watch the sparkling sea, smell the fresh salty air and hear the sounds of the surf and the cries of gulls.

Guest Rooms After a relaxing day of enjoying the surf and sand, strolling on the quiet boardwalk, biking, or just savoring the fabulous water views from the verandah, you'll return to your charming, antique-filled bedroom. All bedrooms, from the larger sea view to the cozy gabled rooms, are charming and comfortably appointed to preserve the traditional charm of a bygone era. All have modern private baths and some feature fireplaces and Jacuzzis. Rate range is $100-$375 double occupancy per night. Well-behaved children are welcomed. $50 per additional person in room. Check in is 2 p.m. - 9 p.m.; check out is 11 a.m. |
Breakfast Hearty country breakfasts are a tradition at Cashelmara Inn. Each morning you may select from a variety of tempting entrees including farm-fresh eggs, specialty French toast, fruit-filled pancakes, along with the freshly baked homemade muffins. Breakfast is served at individual tables for two in the sunny east side breakfast nook where you can enjoy your morning coffee or tea while watching the ever-changing surf. |

For unique fun, your visit to Cashelmara Inn would not be complete without a visit to the Grand Victorian Cinema. When the curtain opens, grab a bag of popcorn and relax comfortably in your velvet seat watching movies in fabulous THX surround sound.
