A "Mother-Son" twin home built in 1881 as a seaside vacation home for the Page family, the inn has ever since been catering to family, friends and vacationers of the day. Bedford Inn is well located, a very short block to the beach and near many fine restaurants and the shops of Cape May's Victorian Mall. Some on-site parking is available at no extra charge. Start off our day with a sumptuous breakfast - shared with other guests in our dining room or from a tray on one of our porches, enjoying the fresh air... |
... Then head for the beach and its pleasures or join a guided tour of our beautiful Historic District. Or, poke around town by yourselves, admiring Cape May's famed Victorian architecture with its exuberant gingerbread trim, checking out our many unique shops or leisurely watching the world go by.

Relax and enjoy the quiet of our authentic Victorian guestrooms or perhaps a "honeymoon" suite for a special getaway. All rooms and suites have a private bath, each with a shower and some also with an old-fashioned clawfoot tub. Each room is beautifully decorated with period antiques but has a few modern touches with air conditioning and television. Most of our rooms offer a queen bed and two suites each have a king bed.

Enjoy the cozy fireplace in our Victorian parlor or choose a book from one of our bookcases, grab a rocking chair and laze away an hour or two on one of our large, airy verandas. Come down to tea in the late afternoon and if you feel sociable, chat with other guests -- sharing your impression of Cape May with its lovely beach, its beautiful collection of Victorian buildings, its wonderful restaurants, cafes, shops and tours.
