The History
The Albert Stevens Inn was built in 1898 by Dr. Albert G. Stevens, a Cape May homeopathic medical doctor. The house was commissioned as a wedding gift for his bride, Bessie.
It is a Victorian Queen Anne Classic, with a unique floating staircase which is suspended from the third floor turret. The two dining rooms were originally the doctor's office suite.
The house was restored and converted to a Bed and Breakfast Inn in 1980 when Albert and Bessie's' heirs sold the home to the first Albert Stevens Inn owners. In 2001, the Inn was purchased by the current innkeepers, Jim and Lenanne Labrusciano.
