A Country Bed & Breakfast The Village House at Sutton Mills is an 1857 Country Victorian house situated on four private acres. The Guest House sits high on a hill overlooking a quaint New England village. We are open year round so that you can enjoy the invigorating springs, the beautiful summers, the brilliant autumns and the Currier and Ives winter!

The Village House at Sutton Mills is located in a four-season resort area. In the winter we are located within minutes of the Mount Sunapee Ski Area, and a short drive to Ragged Mountain and Pat's Peak Ski Resorts, cross-country ski areas, ice-fishing, snow-shoeing, and snowmobile routes. In the spring and summer guests can enjoy swimming and boating at Lake Sunapee or at Wadleigh State Park on Kezar Lake in North Sutton.

There are boat excursions, golf courses, numerous hiking trails, horseback riding, and fishing in pristine rivers nearby. New London is six miles away with excellent restaurants, fine shopping and summer theatre. Other attractions, within a 45 minute drive include the Shaker Villages in Enfield and Canterbury, Dartmouth College and Medical Center, and Saint Gaudens National Historic Site.

The Guest House has a comfortable parlor with a crackling wood stove on cold winter nights. A seasonal beverage and cookies are provided nightly in the parlor as well as fresh coffee and tea in the morning for early risers. Our breakfasts include a choice of two entrees, seasonal fruit and homemade muffins and breads.

Our bedrooms feature hand-forged beds made in our own blacksmith shop as well as feather beds and country quilts for a restful sleep. The floors are carpeted with hand-painted floor cloths, a very New England tradition, made right here by Marilyn. Our three bedrooms are air-conditioned May-October.

If tranquility and relaxation are what you seek, unwind in front of the wood stove in the parlor of the Guest House, or enjoy the books, puzzles, and board games. Seasonally, enjoy the wooded hillsides, stone walls and running streams. If you are in an athletic frame of mind, we offer horseshoes and badminton, or just a good old-fashioned walk through our picturesque village. We now offer guests free WiFi access. Your hosts are Marilyn and Jack Paige.
