At Notchland, we want you
to get away from it all, so we have no TV at the Inn and no phones in the
guest rooms. The views of the mountains are wonderful from the sun-room. . .
a great place to sip your coffee and read that book you saved, or borrow one
from Notchland’s eclectic library.
Nature’s wonders abound at Notchland. You'll enjoy activities that vary with
the season - hiking, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, fishing, swimming or
skating - topped off with a soak in the wood-fired hot tub at the end of an
active day.
For you animal lovers. . .Abigail, our Bernese Mountain dog, will greet
you on arrival. She is, of course, the most beautiful dog in the world,
and has a warm friendly disposition. Please see our Pets Welcome page for our pet policy.
An operating Inn since the 1920s, Notchland’s traditions of hospitality are
inextricably linked to Abel Crawford’s 18th century Mt. Crawford House which
stood on this property, and whose tavern is now our dining room... to the
notch that today is a monument to his family name... and to the history of
The White Mountains.
