Introduction
Mt Eustis Inn was built in 2005, but it is so right for the location that it looks and feels like it's been here forever. Sitting high on a hilltop amid fifty wooded acres, Mt Eustis Inn overlooks the Presidential and Franconia Ranges and is embraced by wild meadows and panoramic views. It boasts 1800's architecture, wide plank floors, wood burning fireplaces and historic colors to present an atmosphere of relaxation and old country charm.
Mt Eustis Inn is the perfect place to "come home to" after a day of outdoor sports, touring, antiquing or visiting the many sites in historic Littleton, New Hampshire, and the surrounding area. With only three rooms, there is a feeling of intimacy and personal privacy.
The country road to the top is 6/10th of a mile long. You might encounter a half dozen deer or a flock of wild turkey or even a fox trotting right up the middle. Bear come for beechnuts, but are more elusive, and we've had a cow moose and her calf walking down the road nibbling on the lower branches of saplings. If you don't see the wild life, watch for their footprints or their woods trails. The road feels like it's a lot longer, but suddenly you've come to the meadow and see Mt Eustis Inn and perhaps startle a pileated woodpecker. Don't let all this fool you; it may seem isolated, yet you are only minutes from great dining, wonderful shopping and an expansive outdoor playground!
Mt Eustis Inn is a special place! Enjoy the fresh, clean smell of country air after a summer storm or the feel and sound of gently falling snow. No matter which season you visit, you will experience a natural beauty and comforting relaxation.
Take the stairs to the second floor where our three large guest rooms are unique in layout, views and comfortable luxury. The rooms are appointed with antiques, reproductions, and original or limited edition art. Each of the rooms is named for one of the first three collector's edition pewter ornaments designed for and released by Littleton Main Street, Inc. Funds from the sale of these ornaments assist Littleton Main Street, Inc.'s continuing downtown revitalization and historic preservation work.
At Mt Eustis Inn, breakfast is homemade and served in our country style dining room with a wood burning fireplace and expansive views. Tables may be individual or grouped as preferred. There is a guest pantry off the dining room with a refrigerator, icemaker, microwave and sink. A selection of hot teas and coffee are offered complimentary 24 hours a day.
After breakfast on warmer days just step out onto the wrap-around porch to finish your coffee or tea, another muffin, or slice of banana nut bread. Sit in a rocker or wicker chair, walk along the stone wall, or just lean up against a porch column. Days here can be slow and quiet. Fog and clouds often roll in or roll out while you watch, storms are beautiful, and the evening alpine glow is spectacular. We see it all from Mt. Eustis...a special place.
