| Bishop's Bread |
9"x9" pan, greased
400°F oven
Ingredients:
2 1/2 cups flour
1/2 cup margarine
1 1/2 tsps cinnamon
2 cups brown sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp baking soda
1 egg
3/4 cup sour milk
Preparation:
- Blend together the first 5 ingredients, making a crumb mixture.
- Reserve 3/4 cups for topping.
- Add the last ingredients to the first.
- Mix gently and pour batter into pan.
- Top with crumbs.
Bake for about 35 minutes, until cooked. Cut into squares and serve warm.
