Discover the Tranquility... The Inn On Golden Pond is an impressive country home built in 1879, located near Squam Lake, setting for the classic film, On Golden Pond. The area is inspiring for its simplicity, and while many choose to visit to be inactive, there are also many opportunities for the active as well.

Approximate driving time: Boston - 2 hours, Portland, ME - 2 hours, Worcester, MA - 2.5 hours, Burlington, VT - 3 hours, Providence, RI 3 hours, Hartford, CT - 3.5 hours, New York City - 5.5 hours

The Inn is known for its refreshingly friendly, yet professional, atmosphere. There are eight spacious guestrooms, one of which is a two-room suite, all with private baths. On the first floor in addition to a large dining room there are also two sitting rooms.

Hike or golf. Ski or skate. All are nearby. Although the Inn has no lake frontage itself, you can be involved in a wide variety of water activities within minutes. Swim or fish or take a cruise and listen to the mystical loons as their calls echo across the lake.

In the cool weather curl up by a crackling fire in the sitting room, read a book, play a game or do a puzzle. Relax. In the warmer weather enjoy our game room or pass a few relaxed hours on our 60 foot long screened porch.

Morning is a time of distinction at the Inn On Golden Pond. Aromas of freshly brewed coffee drift to guestrooms, and each day you will be treated to a full breakfast featuring home-baked breads and muffins, homemade rhubarb jam, and a variety of delicious house specialties.
