Built in 1792, this quintessential inn serves as a comfortable home-away-from-home, repeatedly satisfying tourists, business travelers, students, people visiting family or friends, and other visitors.
This charming inn with a Victorian flair is situated in the quaint and quiet village of West Swanzey, five miles from downtown Keene and a stone's throw from the historic Thompson Covered Bridge. There are five beautifully decorated guest rooms, each with private bath, and each named for one of the nearby covered bridges for which the inn is named.
The décor of this building is lovely with uniquely decorated rooms, tin ceiling, and many antiques. One of the bathrooms has a tin tub which is reputed to be the oldest tin tub in Swanzey.
Nestled in the beautiful Monadnock region, the inn is near outdoor activities, restaurants, arts/cultural events, auction houses, antique shops, covered bridges, and more. Rates are based on double occupancy; $20 per night for each additional person.
Rates include a scrumptious, bountiful breakfast. We do our best to accommodate dietary restrictions and preferences with advance notice.
One night stays may be higher.
Rates are higher in October and during holiday, event, and/or peak weekends.
Weekends from Mothers Day through the end of October generally require a two-night minimum stay, as do certain holiday or event weekends.

Reservations are held with a valid credit card. A $20 service charge will be charged if cancellation is received within 14 days of your scheduled arrival. The full room rate plus tax will be charged for no-shows and may be charged for unfilled reserved rooms in which the cancellation was not received at least 7 days before your scheduled arrival. At the innkeeper's discretion, cancellation charges may be applied towards a future stay if booked within one year.
Deposits: Required only for rental of all the rooms, large groups, or extended visits. 25% deposit plus tax at the time the reservation is made.
A valid MasterCard or VISA card number is required to secure a reservation but we do not normally charge your credit card until you arrive here.
We accept cash, checks, traveler's checks, MasterCard, and VISA (U.S. dollars).
We take pleasure in welcoming well-behaved, supervised children of all ages to our bed and breakfast. Please let us know in advance the ages and number of children so that we will be ready for your family (roll-away bed, high chair, etc.).
Arrival Time: Normally between 3 and 9 pm. Arrangements can be made for early or late check-in.
Check-out Time: Normally by 11 am. Arrangements can be made for later departures.
We cannot accommodate pets.
