Breakfast on the Connecticut

Built in 1996, Breakfast on the Connecticut sits on 23 acres in rural Lyme, just a dozen miles north of Hanover and Dartmouth College. It has fifteen bedrooms, each with private bath and some with in-room whirlpool tubs. Each room has its own color TV/VCR, telephone and individual climate control. Two large suites offer ample room for a family of four. Some rooms have their own gas fireplaces. The premises is fully sprinklered and alarmed for your safety.

The bedrooms are almost evenly split between the main house and the architecturally intriguing 12 sided round "Barn", which is as well appointed as the main house, but just a touch quieter. An enclosed passageway that also provides access to the gazebo-protected spa connects the "Barn" and the main house.

If you're looking for a more private setting for a getaway we also have a Guest House that is available. Located in a beautiful field by the river the Guest House will offer you the amenities of home while being in a tranquil New England country setting. Two queen bedrooms (each with vanity), one full bath, fully equipped kitchen, living room with gas fireplace and satellite TV/VCR, screened porch, deck with seasonal heated enclosed shower, washer/dryer and central A/C.

• Room rates are $115-$199 a night, per room (double occupancy) including breakfast.
• Price varies depending on room, day and season.
• There is a $25 fee for additional person or cot in room.
• Suites are $209-$274 a night.
• All rates are subject to an 8% New Hampshire Meals and Lodging Tax, and are subject to change without notice.
• There is a two-night minimum stay on most weekends. During certain holiday weekends and Dartmouth College weekends, a three-night stay may be required.
• We accept travelers' checks, VISA and MasterCard.
• A fifty percent (50%) deposit is required to confirm reservations. Early departures will result in the forfeiture of your deposit. No refunds will be issued on the unused portion of your stay.
• Balances are due upon check-in.
• Refunds will be issued only if the cancellation is received two weeks in advance of your arrival date, with the exception of special weekends, on which one-month notice is required.
• We will happily refund any deposit if we are able to re-rent your room for the duration of your reservation.
• "No Shows" will be charged for the entire reserved stay.
