Introduction

Step back into another era in this elegant old mansion built at the turn of the century (1904) and fully restored with its heavy plaster moldings and ornate stained glass and beveled windows. This impressive Queen Anne Revival style house was designed built between 1902 and 1904 just north of the intersection of Rennie's Mill Road and Monkstown Road in St. John's.

To the East you have the Colonial Building, Government Houser, St Thomas's and Hotel Fairmont Newfoundland. To the West you have Presentation Convent, the Basilica of St. John the Baptist, the Rooms Complex, Ches's Fish and Chips, City Hall, Mile One Stadium and the Delta Hotel Convention Center and to the South St. John's Harbor and George Street.
