Howells is located in Colfax County in eastern Nebraska. There are a number of events held during the summer that you could go to if you are staying in a Howells B&B or Howells inn. Maple Creek Days, held in June, is the classic summer festival with tasty food and lots of activities for children of all ages. The Antique Tractor Pull and BBQ, held in August, is fun for the whole family, and great for the fan of old farm equipment. Another popular summer destination is the Henry Doorly Zoo in nearby Omaha, the region’s largest zoo and popular summer destination. When you've toured the zoo, you could go to Adie's Bar and Restaurant for pub food or go to Owl Café for great food and service. Later return to a Howells bed and breakfast for a good night’s rest.
