Beautiful oak woodwork and floors and a grand central staircase grace the main entrance of Anniversary Mansion Bed & Breakfast. Exquisite craftsmanship is on display in the handsome oak wainscoting, the charming 16-foot block mural, hand-beveled leaded glass windows, and the stunning molded brick fireplace with its "Richardsonian" arch. Double solid oak pocket doors frame each room of the open floor plan. Anniversary Mansion is listed on the National Register of Historic Places as a historic landmark. According to the Historic Preservation Commission Minutes July 26, 1994, the mansion is listed both for its association with Morris Weil, a very prominent Lincoln businessman, and for its architectural distinction, as one of the largest and finest Neo-Classic Revival mansions in Lincoln. |
