Travel information about Minot, North Dakota

Minot is a city located in north-central North Dakota which has some really great B&Bs. The Apple Grove Golf Course and the Souris Valley Golf Course are both located in Minot. The Minot Country Club is located near Burlington. The North Dakota State Fair is held annually in Minot. Nearly all of the area's recreation spots are closed during the long winter. The city's largest parks are Roosevelt Park and Oak Park. Roosevelt Park Zoo is one of the top zoos in the region. Dogs are not allowed in any of the city parks, however, a "bark park" for dogs opened in the summer of 2005. The Minot Park District operates 17 parks with various facilities Minot is a city of parks and golf courses, so you should plan on spending most of your days outdoors and most of your nights comfortably tucked away in a nearby Minot inn or Minot bed and breakfast. At Perkin's Restaurant and Bakery the food is great, and their breakfast selection is to die for. Paradiso Mexican Restaurant is a great place for happy hour - but don't worry, it has great food at anytime of the day!
