Just minutes off I-95, the Whitehead Inn in Wilson, NC is a delightful getaway. The Whitehead Inn is comprised of four historic homes set amongst majestic trees and lovely gardens on 1.42 acres. The elegantly appointed homes together provide 12 beautiful, overnight accommodations. Our flexible room configuration of king suites, queen, full and twin rooms, allows us to accommodate virtually any guest needs. Guests can choose to stay in our ultra-private king suites or, if traveling in a group, reserve all rooms in a house for their stay. We can now provide massage therapy sessions in guest rooms.

The centerpiece of our charming North Carolina accommodations is the 4,300 square foot two-story Davis-Whitehead-Harriss House. Built in 1858 and remodeled with Italianate detailing in 1872, the house is listed in the National Register of Historic Places. Special features in this lovely house include oak and heart-pine floors, handsome fireplace mantels in every room, 12-foot ceilings, two elegant parlors, a spacious dining room and two large porches. This 1,872 square foot turn-of-the-century cottage was purchased and moved to the property in 1990 from the Barton College campus. Whether individuals, families, or a group have rented the rooms in the Barefoot/Riley House, the spacious living room with original fireplace and comfortable furnishings provides an ideal setting to watch TV or visit with other guests. The entire house may be reserved for your business travel accommodations. This house is handicap accessible and has a wraparound porch as well as a separate back porch. Rates range from $90 to $149 per night

Originally the Berry Hinnant House, this appealing 2,067 square foot cottage was purchased in 1996 and moved to the property from another location in Wilson. The house was completely renovated, including the addition of individually controlled heat and air conditioning for each room. This house boasts a sunny parlor, full kitchen and wraparound porch with extensive detailing. The rooms in this house are decorated in light floral accents with large windows in each room. Room darkening shades are available in rooms that need it. Each room in the Queen Anne house is very spacious with 14-foot ceilings, a decorative fireplace, and two wingback chairs for comfortable pastimes. This house at Whitehead Inn is perfect for couples traveling together because it has a full kitchen for guest use. Rates range from $119 to $139

This one-story 1,147 square foot cottage rental of Whitehead Inn has two completely renovated and luxurious king-size guest rooms with cathedral ceilings and hardwood floors for a romantic North Carolina getaway. These very private, suite-like rooms both feature king-sized beds, sitting areas with Victorian sofas and comfortable chairs, vaulted ceilings and large windows. These rooms are ideal for privacy and convenience. A pleasant front porch lined with blooming flower baskets provides a relaxing spot to sit and enjoy the huge shade trees. • Unlike most inns, we do not charge a deposit at the time you make a reservation.
• Cancellations received more than 48 hours prior to your arrival will be subject to a $25 cancellation fee. If you cancel less than 48 hours prior to your scheduled arrival, or depart before your scheduled check out date, you will be responsible for the entire reservation unless we are able to rebook the room. This policy may vary for groups (4 or more rooms), holidays and at certain other times of the year. Please call for more information or if you have any questions regarding our cancellation policy.
