Located in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Valle Crucis is located in western North Carolina, and boasts of its locally renowned Valle Crucis bed and breakfast, Valle Crucis inn, and B&B establishments. Blood, Sweat and Gears is a popular bike ride held the fourth weekend in June in Valle Crucis. It raises money for local organizations. Music in the Valle is a summer-long festival that features various musicians in the area. The festival is located in Valle Crucis. Valle Crucis Park includes 23 acres of beautiful nature. A children's playground, soccer fields and picnic area are also included. Mast General Store has been in operation since 1883. It offers both a historic aspect as well as a great place to spend the afternoon shopping. Gamekeeper Restaurant is located in nearby Boone. The drive out there is lovely, with a variety of winding roads. The food is well worth the drive! Dan'l Boone Inn Restaurant is a great place to eat in nearby Boone. The servings are huge!
