Located in western North Carolina, in the Blue Ridge Mountains, Valle Crucis boasts many fine B&Bs. If you like to bike ride, book a room at a Valle Crucis bed and breakfast in June and participate in the popular Blood, Sweat and Gears ride held the fourth weekend of that month and help raise money for local organizations. If you choose to come in the summer, you can enjoy the Music in the Valle that features various local musicians. Valle Crucis Park includes 23 acres of beautiful nature trails as well as a children's playground, soccer fields and picnic areas. After a restful evening at a Valle Crucis B&B or inn, drop by the Mast General Store, which has been in operation since 1883. It offers both a rich history aspect as well as a great place to spend the morning shopping. When you get hungry, try the Gamekeeper Restaurant, located in nearby Boone. The drive out there is lovely, with a variety of winding roads. Dan'l Boone Inn Restaurant is a great place to eat in Boone, too. The servings are huge!
