Switzerland Inn - Little Switzerland, North Carolina Since 1910 the Switzerland Inn in Little Switzerland, NC, has offered a unique experience to the traveler seeking something out of the ordinary. Select from spacious rooms in the main lodge, mountain view suites, private chalets or a honeymoon cottage complete with a fireplace. We have various accommodations from which to choose, depending on the type of experience you want. For registered guests, all rates include daily full breakfast, use of swimming pool (in season), tennis courts, and shuffle-board.

Our Chalet Restaurant overlooking the scenic mountains of North Carolina also serves lunch and dinner for your convenience and pleasure. Beer, wine, and mixed beverages are available. Come enjoy a culinary delight while taking in the breathtaking view from our panoramic view windows. You can dine inside or outside on our patio.

About the Area
Whether it's relaxing with a good book or browsing among the treasures in the shops of Little Switzerland, there's plenty to do and see here. As each season unfolds its splendor before your eyes, opportunity abounds for recreation in and around the Little Switzerland area.

Hike to the top of Mt. Mitchell, the highest peak in the East, or through the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area. Grandfather Mountain is close as well. Golf on courses with breathtaking mountain views.

Enjoy day excursions or horseback riding, gem mining, and trout fishing. Visit craft centers like Penland, theme parks such as Tweetsie Railroad, and the Biltmore Estate. Take a swim, explore a waterfall, or treat yourself to an ice cream. It's all nearby Little Switzerland!

The inn is located at milepost 334 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, within 1-2 hours driving distance of Asheville, Charlotte, Hickory, and Johnson City.
