We rented Rowan Oak House for our wedding over Labor Day weekend. It was the perfect venue for hosting our small ceremony and reception (around 50 people). The impeccably groomed, flower-filled yard was a wonderful site for the festivities. The house is perfectly appointed, and Barbara is a master of detail. She made all the guests staying at the inn and our guests for the wedding feel comfortable and welcome. Thanks to Barbara and Les for a great experience.

Recently,we made plans to move fromour home in Massachusetts to North Carolina. In our search, we stumbled upon a beautiful B & B in Salisbury, NC called the Rowan Oak House. The innkeepers, Barbara and Les, welcomed as into their beautiful inn and made us feel immediately comfortable. They gave us a tour of their home and explained the history of the house and the surrounding area. Their home was even more grand than the pictures eluded to on the web site. We, particularly, loved the gardens and fountains that surround the property. We were encouraged to make use of all of the common areas and even their refride was at our disposal if we needed it. We were also fed glorious breakfasts each morning before we started our daily trek.The innkeepers, continuosly, saw to our every need. They made weary travelers feel comfortable and relaxed after our long days of drivng around. We would come home and sit on the porch swing on the spacious front porchand chat with Barbara and Les. They would listen as we talked about our discoveries and offer some helpful suggestions.We are very happy about our decision to make NC our new home and consider ourselves fortunate to have met such giving and caring people. They are the perfect people to be running an inn. Everyone should experience the charm of the Rowan Oak House.
