A massive stone fireplace stands boldly in the great room. Its hearth beckons you to sit and gaze into the glowing light of a beautiful fire that dances with your thoughts. The vaulted room is comfortably arranged with an eclectic blend of furnishings, creating Smoky Mountain lodging that warms your body and soul. Decorated with antiques, crafts and American Indian motif, this lodge affords you the luxury of appreciating art and nature at its best.
Our North Carolina bed and breakfast sits on six acres of manicured grounds with several streams that flow into the Tuckasegee River. A cascading waterfall runs along the side of the inn. A standing forest of 100 year old pines are the backdrop. Rhododendron, hemlocks and fern line the driveway that winds its way to the entrance. You can sit on the porches and balconies of the lodge and enjoy the river, waterfalls, streams and mountain views that surround you in this elegant retreat.
Breakfast changes daily at our Smoky Mountain bed and breakfast, but always begins with freshly-ground perked coffees and specially selected teas. There's a variety of fresh juices, too. Breakfast is served at 9 a.m., either indoors or outdoors (weather permitting). For guests who need an early start, we offer a continental breakfast serving homemade breads and muffins, cereals, fruits, coffee, teas and juices.
You will enjoy a good night's sleep on the queen size mountain made log beds dressed with plush pillows and cozy comforters. The private baths feature claw foot bath tubs with brass fixtures, along with separate showers. Scented soaps, plush towels and warm bright colors fill the rooms to make your bathing experience a delightful one. For your comfort, we have air conditioned guest rooms, ceiling fans and central heating.
