Introduction
Built in 1922, the newly renovated Princess Anne Hotel continues to serve visitors to Western North Carolina. The Inn has an enviable location in the Chestnut Hill National Historic District on a quiet residential street within walking distance to downtown. Asheville offers visitors a rich mountain history and unsurpassed natural beauty. Our area is home to the luxurious Biltmore Estate, as well as the birthplace of author Thomas Wolfe. Every accommodation at The Princess Anne Hotel is an individually designed suite, decorated to make your lodging experience a special one. Most of our suites have sitting rooms with a micro-kitchen and dining area, a private bedroom and bath, cable, LCD flat screen TV, internet access, phone, and zoned heating/cooling. Some of our rooms can also be combined to create a two-bedroom suite with two baths that will accommodate up to four guests. The Princess Anne Hotel also offers single rooms.
Every floor is equipped with a coin washer and dryer for our guests who wish to have an extended stay to enjoy the area’s many versatile attractions. Enjoy breakfast each morning in the dining room and wine and hors d’oeuvres each afternoon. Let our staff know if you would enjoy amenities such as chilled champagne on arrival, flowers, chocolates, etc., and we will make your stay memorable.
Relax and enjoy the gracious living of yesterday in our various common areas. The large stone fireplace invites you through French doors to relax in the comfortable living room. You can read the newspaper or watch TV in the library. Peruse our literature to learn the history of the area. Plan your daily excursions to find where to hike, mountain or road bike, raft, kayak, golf, shop, go antiquing, dine, and enjoy the endless array of activities Asheville proudly boasts. You may choose to simply take your choice of our covered porches to relax looking at our gardens and fountain.
