Built in the summer of 1941, The Pond House Inn enjoys a spectacular setting on a slight rise, surrounded by the waters of the Pasquotank River and Waters Pond, named for Samuel Waters, an original owner of the land. The house is a finely crafted example of European Manor house architecture, with a winding staircase opening into wide halls and large, elegant rooms. |
