Introduction

Pecan Tree Inn - Beaufort, North Carolina Relive history in the friendly seaport town of Beaufort, the third oldest town in North Carolina. Founded in 1713, Beaufort retains the charm and tranquility of the past, while offering a variety of attractions to visitors.

At the Pecan Tree Inn you are only a few steps from wonderful restaurants and quaint shops. Take a leisurely walk or tour through Beaufort's historic district with restored period homes and lovely gardens. Watch the wild ponies graze on Carrot Island across the water. Visit the North Carolina Maritime Museum or just relax on one of our porches.

For the adventurous, there is kayaking, fishing and boating, popular beaches nearby, and excursions to the lower Outer Banks. Beaufort is a center of "ecotourism" on the N.C. coast.

"Surely one of the most beautifully decorated and landscaped lodgings you will ever find. For my money, this is the spot for shoreside accommodations in Beaufort...the innkeepers are simply wonderful.” -- Claiborne Young in “Cruising Guide to Coastal North Carolina,’’ 5th Edition.

Each of our seven air conditioned guest rooms is handsomely decorated and distinctive in character . All rooms have private baths. Additionally two guest rooms connect into suites. The two deluxe rooms with king-size canopied beds and two-person jacuzzis are popular with honeymooners, romantics, or anyone in need of a little pampering. A stay at the Pecan Tree Inn includes an expanded continental breakfast served in the formal dining room or on the porch. You will enjoy freshly baked homemade breads and pastries along with your choice of fruit, cereal and beverage. Our guests can relax in the parlor or on one of the three porches, nap in a chaise on the patio, or stroll through the vast flower and herb garden. Bicycles are also available.
