Free Tickets to The Smith McDowell House, the oldest house in Asehville! It was the former residence of our builder, Robert Garrett. The Smith McDowell House is now the Museum of Western North Carolina featuring period restorations from 1840, the year of its birth. This house predates the Biltmore. Come to Asheville and see both! We look forward to hosting you here at the North Lodge, where we're far from ordinary but close to everything else!

North Lodge on Oakland is a bed and breakfast providing an adult, no-smoking environment. We welcome you at any time, whether your visit is a weekend getaway or a midweek stopover. We are centrally located in the city of Asheville, just a few minutes from Biltmore Estate, downtown, great restaurants, and many local attractions. Our historic 1904 stone and cedar shake home has been lovingly restored to provide a pleasing and secure facility. Decor combines antique and contemporary furnishings in just the right mix. Private baths, cable TV, plush bedding and central air-conditioning add to your comfort. Phones and fax available. A delicious cooked breakfast featuring home-baked breads is served every day.
