Hot Springs, North Carolina

The 100+ year old boxwood maze
Welcome to the Mountain Magnolia Inn. We are located in Hot Springs, a small valley town in the peaceful Blue Ridge Mountains of Western North Carolina just 40 minutes north of Asheville. The Inn is conveniently located just a few minutes walk from town, the hot mineral baths, French Broad River and the Appalachian Trail. Situated on 3.5 acres of beautifully landscaped grounds there are beautiful mountain views from the entire property.

Accommodations at the Inn consist of five guest rooms, 3 two-bedroom suites and a 3 bedroom Garden House. Each include a private bath(s). Many of the rooms have gas-operated fireplaces, Jacuzzi tubs and private balconies or patios. We have a beautifully decorated parlor and dining room with ornate plaster ceilings and handcrafted walnut doors and trim. From the front porch, guests can view the ever-changing look of the mountains across the valley.

The Inn offers a number of services to insure an enjoyable stay. Breakfast is included with most accommodations and evening dining is available to guests as well as the public. We schedule hot mineral spas for guests and provide spa towels and terry cloth robes. There is a massage room in the cupola and we have a massage therapist available by appointment.

By car, Asheville, NC is about 40 minutes southeast, Newport is about 30 minutes west, Knoxville, TN is about 1.2 hours, and Waynesville, NC is about 1 hour southwest. Hot Springs is a small town of about 600 residents. There are natural mineral springs which are piped into tubs in the Hot Springs Spa, which you can visit for a soak in the healing water followed by a masage in our massage room.

The Appalachian Trail runs right through town, so each year hundreds of hikers pass through on their way to Maine (or Georgia). The trail is easy to get on to, and a lot of people day hike on it as well. There are other places of varying difficulty to hike in the area.
