| Merritt House Applesauce Cake |
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. mace or nutmeg
1/4 tsp. cloves
2 tsp. baking soda
1 cup raisins
1 cup walnuts
1-1/2 cup applesauce (1 lb. can)
1 tsp. salt
1/2 cup butter melted (1 stick)
Mix all ingredients together and place in a 9x9x2" pan or an 11x7x2" pan and bake in a 350 oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
