Introduction
About the inn...
The Market Street Inn originally opened in 1975 in the Herbert Bluethenthal House. The Georgian style mansion was built in 1917 and was one of the original homes in the Mansion District. It is listed on the National Registry of Historic Places. The inn is conveniently located a few blocks from Downtown, ten minutes from the Airport and twenty minutes from Wrightsville Beach. The 5500 sq ft home is situated on one acre of gorgeous mature landscaping with great outdoor areas for relaxing and entertaining. Our five beautifully appointed guest rooms boosts period antiques as well as contemporary modern and eclectic furnishings, all with private baths.
In 2007, current owners Jim Thomas and Brian Ross purchased the property and reopened the Inn offering
