Our Bed and Breakfast is just a short drive to: Grandfather Mountain, Blowing Rock, Valle Crucis, and the ski resorts of Beech, Sugar, Appalachian and Hawksnest.
We are less than one mile from Appalachian State University and downtown Boone.
Just off the Blue Ridge Parkway in Boone, North Carolina, the historic Lovill House Inn is an "in-town rural Inn".

Porch Built in 1875 by Captain Edward Francis Lovill, this gracious home is rich in community and family history. The Lovill House is located on eleven wooded acres at the western edge of Boone, North Carolina.

Careful restoration has preserved the charm of this historic farm house; wormy chestnut woodwork, three wood-burning fireplaces, and heart of pine plank floors evoke a feeling of home and comfort.

Guests are encouraged to enjoy a leisurely picnic by the stream and waterfall or weathered barn, rock awhile in a high backed rocker on the wrap around porch, or just enjoy a nap in a shaded hammock or gazebo. Numerous perennial gardens abound.

All six graciously appointed guest rooms include: private bath, cable television/VCR's, telephones and WIFI high speed internet access. An expansive, country breakfast -- starting with early morning coffee service and tea -- all of your favorites: Belgian waffles, Eggs Benedict, fresh seasonal fruit, home-baked breads and muffins.

We’ll stay out of your way -- or plan your whole stay. From day tours, birthday cakes, restaurant recommendations and reservations, wake-up calls, coffee or hot cider by the fire to just letting you relax in a private way. We take our cues from you.
