Overlooking historic Valle Crucis in the North Carolina High Country, our new log Bed and Breakfast mountain retreat is built from the ground up with you in mind. Lazy Bear Lodge Bed and Breakfast is located on a paved road, 1 ½ miles from Mast General Store in a quiet and secluded setting and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, Boone and Blowing Rock. |

The Lazy Bear Lodge is a 2-story log bed and breakfast with large comfortable porches, sweeping views, and plenty of privacy. The relaxing front porch overlooks a private garden area and is just a few feet from convenient parking. A wide deck overlooking mountains and valleys is located off the 2 ½ story living room and is loaded with Adirondack furniture. The Lazy Bear Lodge features five large, luxurious, and private guest rooms, each with its own extraordinary bathroom. One bedroom with a private porch is located on the first floor, and four are located on the second floor. Guests may choose between king or queen size beds and rooms with a window view or private deck. All rooms have gas fireplaces or stoves, a comfortable sitting area, TV, CD/radio, a closet with full length mirrored doors, and ceiling fan. We also furnish each room with a hair dryer, iron and ironing board. |

Our dining room is on the first floor and not yet open to the public. Breakfast consists of a selection of fruits, breads, cereals, and drinks on the sideboard. More substantial fare is selected from a full menu including a daily chef's special. Guests may eat in the dining room with a cozy fire or on the deck enjoying the fresh mountain air. Our restaurant is often open on Saturday nights for our overnight guest. Stroll our seven wooded mountain-top acres to find secluded sitting areas, unique art and statuary, and special gardens. Just minutes from great shopping in Boone or Blowing Rock, Lazy Bear Lodge is central to ski basins, Grandfather Mountain, golfing, fishing, horseback riding, whitewater rafting, and restaurants. Regional events such as Merlfest, Wooly Worm Festival, and Highland Games are just minutes away, and we provide a lodging alternative for those attending the Bristol Raceway.
