Located forty-five minutes from the Raleigh-Durham airport and less than two miles from Interstate 85, the Lamplight Inn resides on a 150-year old, five-acre tobacco farm. Let us beckon you with the soft glow of the many chimney lamps used to light this restored farm. Step back from the fast pace of today and join us by the fire in the parlor, relax on the wraparound porch, or stroll the grounds. Outbuildings abound for your exploration including cabins, the stable, the gazebo, and the open-air fitness center located in the barn. |
| The Main house is fully restored and offers central heat and A/C, a private bath, and satellite TV in each room. Each of our five bedrooms is unique and offers the ultimate in casual comfort, surrounding you with carefully selected furniture, appointments and accessories. Four of the former tobacco drying cabins are being restored for a truly unique vacation experience. The cottages will come equipped with private baths, small kitchenettes, and broad verandas. |

The parlor is a quiet, quaint spot for reading by the fire or enjoying high tea. Enjoy our collection of old books, dolls, depression glass and tobacco memorabilia, or browse our selection of local crafts. The game room is a comfortable lounging area that features a selection of books, games, internet access, and 46" HDTV. All guests are invited to take advantage of our home theater for popcorn and a movie or sporting event. |

A gourmet breakfast is served in the classic style daily in the main dining room, or guests may prefer dining on the wide verandah. Picnic baskets are available by advance order and a light afternoon snack is available each day except Sundays. Special diet requests are welcome, including vegan and gluten free alternatives, and assorted beverages are available 24 hours at our courtesy bar. |

The Lamplight Inn is only a short drive from Kerr Lake, a 50,000-acre, man-made lake and haven for water sports enthusiasts and landlubbers alike. More than 800 miles of wooded shoreline provide access to a variety of fun-filled activities on the lake including sailing, fishing, water skiing, and hiking. Explore the nearby communities as you hunt for antiques and quality handmade crafts, enjoy historical restaurants, or play a round of golf at Kerr Lake Country Club. |
