With funds donated by the Duke family in the 1920's, the King's Daughters of Durham built this grand building to care for single elderly women. The King's Daughters Home closed in 2006, and now this piece of Durham's history has been reborn as a seventeen room Boutique Bed & Breakfast. We are conveniently located in central Durham, a short walk to Duke University and Brightleaf Square, and minutes from the new Durham Performing Arts Center, Research Triangle Park, and Raleigh-Durham International Airport. |

Our philosophy is three-fold: to protect and restore the historic architecture for future generations, to be as environmentally conscious as possible, and to do both while implementing the most current technologies available today to create a seamless, integrated hospitality experience. We aim to offer our guests everything they would expect from a large, modern hotel, but with all the character and history of a grand old building. |

The Auditorium This lovely space was previously used by the ladies to view movies, listen to lectures and even had a salon for the ladies to have their hair done! We have totally renovated and updated this space to offer a state of the art conference and business space. With video conferencing, 2 58" plasma TVs for display, and full internet connectivity, all your meeting requirements can be met! It will easily hold up to 69 guests and staff, can be arranged as classroom, theater, u-shaped or t-shaped, or buffet table seating and food or drinks can be arranged.

The Parlor One of the King's Daughters finest restorations...enjoy afternoon tea or a private party in this lovingly resurrected space! We can host smaller, more intimate affairs in the room, from your local neighborhood get together to a baby shower! We can comfortably fit up to 40 guests and arrange seating as required for your event.

For the discriminating traveler that needs more room to spread out, our Trinity Suite offers it all! The glamorous bath has double sinks, an air jetted tub and separate shower. The sitting room is located on the sun porch and has the ability to connect to the Saunders room for a family event. |
