For over 4000 years Llamas have been used to transport goods across the rugged Andean mountains in South America. Today they are found all across the United States and Canada, carrying loads for backcountry travelers. Hawke, Dene, Crazy Horse and Scooter live at The Hawkesdene House Bed & Breakfast Inn and Cottages.

Atop Hawkesnest Mountain Sitting atop a mountain ridge the "Hawkesnest Gazebo" is the perfect place to relax and view the sunset over the Great Smoky Mountains. This 30 minute walk up the mountain is manageable for healthy individuals ages 3-80. Llama treks available mid April thru October.

Trek to Hidden Falls Accompany these nimble animals for a 1 hour walk to "Hidden Falls", a beautiful cascade nestled in a forest glen. No special equipment is needed, but you will cross streams and appropriate footwear should be considered. The cost, is $35.00 per person. A maximum of 8 persons per trek, with a minimum of 2. Advance reservations are required. Llama treks available mid April thru October.
