Harmony House Inn

Located in the Historic District of New Bern, the Inn is listed on the National Register of Historic Places.

Harmony House was purchased by Benjamin Ellis in 1850 from Francis Lamotte who had owned the house since 1809. The house began as a four-room, two-story Greek Revival home.

Guest Rooms/Rates

We have made every effort to accurately describe our guest rooms in the hopes that
we never have a guest who is disappointed with their room, and our Inn.

The Harmony House Inn offers 10 spacious guest rooms. Natural light abounds in the elegant, yet comfortable guest rooms each of which has been personally decorated by your hosts, Ed and Sooki Kirkpatrick. Each room features one of Sooki's handmade cross-stitch patterns which she has chosen especially for that room. All bathrooms are located in the room or suite. All have mirrors, supplemental heat, exhaust, lighting and night lights. Facial soap, deodorant soap, and shampoo are provided. If you forget to bring something, we try to keep some extra toothbrushes, toothpaste, and razors.

First Floor - Three guest rooms and one suite. These rooms have ten foot ceilings.

Rates & Information

Rates range from $99 - $129 and Suites range from $160 - 175. Single or Double occupancy.
The Harmony House Inn, rated 3 AAA diamonds, welcomes Corporate and Business travelers with special rates; complimentary local calls for all guests, free high speed internet access from all guest rooms, and off-street parking.
We have a 7 day cancellation policy.
This period may be extended for in-season weekends and special events.
Late cancellations will not be charged if we are able to re-book the guest room.
No shows, early check outs, and late cancellations may be responsible for then entire length of their stay.
Please note that we DO NOT accept cancellations sent via email.
The Inn also features its own gift shop.
We are a non-smoking inn. An ashtray will be provided on request for smoking on the front porch.
