The Inn at Glen Alpine

This historic country manor was constructed in 1913. As you step through the door, it is immediately evident that the builders had quality and comfort in mind. Though the architecture is not opulent, the 12-foot first floor ceilings give the home a feeling of grandeur. The living room, library and dining room floors boast distinctive parquet designs of superior yellow pine inlaid with walnut.

The guest rooms are spacious, the beds are luxurious and the mood is subdued. All rooms include private baths, color TV (satellite service with 100 channels), VCR and access to the Inn's video library, air conditioning, ceiling fans, comfortable chairs and reading lights.

Location:
Glen Alpine is centrally located in the foothills of the Appalachian Mountains adjacent to the southeast corner of Pisgah National Forest. Entrance to The Blue Ridge Parkway is a short 30 minutes from the Inn. Travel the Parkway for a breathtaking ride to Asheville or Blowing Rock. For a more rugged adventure, traveling a few miles on dirt roads takes you to the Linville Gorge Wilderness Area where easy day hikes reward you with waterfalls and panoramic views. If your enthusiasm lays in history, theater, music, dining, shopping or sporting activities, you will find a vast array of exceptional outings within a 10-45 minute drive of the Inn.
